Awka is the capital city of Anambra State, Nigeria, with population of 301,657 (2006 census). It can be accessed from Onitsha, Owerri, Umuahia and Enugu. Specifically, it lies 45Km from a major bridge across the Niger River at Onitsha and 55Km from Enugu.
Awka is the traditional home of Igbo (Ibo) blacksmiths and the town’s artisans are still noted for their metal craftsmanship and wood carving. It is also an agricultural trade centre .
Scope of the Mission:
Diseases that will be treated by our team of medical experts include; Hypertensive heart disorders, Diabetes, Malaria, asthma, epilepsy, and other minor illnesses.
Laboratory Services will be provided by Lab Scientists, Eye test conducted and Corrective glasses given by our optometrists. There will be mass deworming and immunization of all children and wheelchairs and other walking aids, including Insecticide Treated Nets (ITNs) given to the needy.
Our Ambulance will be deployed for resuscitation and to convey critical cases unable to be handled at the venue to other centres.
