NAS Free Medical Mission held on Friday 31st July 2015 at Anantigha, Calabar South Local Government Area

The Medical Mission is a quarterly outreach conducted by NAS to render free medical services to indigent community members. The July Mission was a part of the 39th National Convention of the NAS and held in Anantigha community, Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The Mission consulted/offered treatment to 183 patients: 90 male and 93 Female, out of which 53 where children below the age of 10 years. The patients were screened for various ailments including but not limited to Diabetes Mellitus (2% prevalence); Hypertension (16% prevalence); Human Immune Deficiency Virus – HIV (5.3% prevalence), among others. The Mission also issued out 71 prescription glasses for optometry cases.
